Welcome to Zorio, a gamified meditation and mindfulness app provided by Zorio. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when using Zorio. Zorio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age; if you believe we have, contact us at optimasoftwarellc@gmail.com.
By registering for Zorio, you—and, where required by applicable law, your parent or legal guardian—consent to the collection and processing of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Acceptance of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is mandatory for registration and use of the service.
1. User Consent and Registration
Zorio relies on user consent for data collection and processing. During the registration process, users must explicitly accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy to create an account. Without this acceptance, registration cannot proceed, and access to Zorio's features will not be granted. Users who are not yet adults under the law where they live may require a parent or legal guardian to authorize processing of their personal data; by registering, you confirm that any such requirement that applies to you is satisfied.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Zorio collects the following types of data:
Account Information: Username and email address are collected for account creation, as well as the country the user is in, for management.
Usage and Analytics Data: This includes user interactions with the app, session metrics, and generated analytics to enhance user experience and recommendations.
Navigation Data: Information such as IP address, device type, and interaction logs is collected to improve the platform’s performance and security.
Location Data: If available, we may collect precise location data (latitude and longitude) via analytics tools such as PostHog to better understand how users interact with the app and improve user experience.
Session Management: Zorio uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT), stored on the user’s device, to maintain active sessions and ensure secure authentication.
IDFA/GAID: Zorio may use advertising identifiers for ad tracking, marketing, and analytics via partners such as Facebook, where applicable.
3. Analytics Tools
Zorio uses third-party tools to analyze user behavior within the app to improve usability, functionality, and performance. These tools include:
PostHog: PostHog is used to track in-app user behavior such as navigation events, interaction with features, and progress in guided sessions. When available, PostHog may also log geolocation data (latitude and longitude), device type, and other metadata to enhance our understanding of user flows and improve the app.
All data collected through analytics is used solely for internal development and improvement purposes. No data is shared with advertisers.
4. Data Usage for Recommendations
Zorio does not display third-party advertisements in the core experience and does not share user data with advertisers for ad targeting. Recommendation features may use user history and analytics data to provide personalized suggestions and improve your experience.
Additionally, behavioral analytics data collected via PostHog is used internally to improve platform usability and the overall user experience.
5. Payment Processing and Transactions
Zorio does not process or store payment card data on its own servers. All transactions, including subscriptions and billing, are handled securely through third-party services:
RevenueCat: Manages subscription analytics and purchase verification.
Google Play Store and Apple App Store: Handle payment processing in compliance with their respective policies.
6. Data Access, Rectification, and Deletion
Users have control over their personal data through the settings in the app, where applicable:
Access: Users can view their stored account and usage data.
Rectification: Users can update or modify their account details.
Deletion: Users can permanently delete their account, which will result in the erasure of associated data from our primary systems in accordance with our retention and backup policies.
7. Account Deletion and Grace Period
When a user requests account deletion, their data is processed for removal from our systems according to our policies. Where applicable, there may be a short grace period in which the user can recover their account if the deletion was requested in error. After that period, the data may not be restored.
8. Data Storage and Security
We retain user data in the following manner:
Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS): User data may be securely stored on cloud servers operated by reputable providers.
International data transfers: If third-party services store data in regions outside your country, we work to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law, including GDPR where it applies.
Encryption and Security Measures: We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
9. Compliance with GDPR and User Rights
Where applicable, Zorio respects the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users may have the right to:
Request a copy of their stored data.
Modify or update their personal information.
Delete their account and associated data.
Withdraw consent for certain processing activities where consent is the legal basis.
By using Zorio, users acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
